Please consider standing as a councillor to represent your community. We still have 2 vacancies. Thanks to the excellent turnout last week, residents of the Perranporth ward have elected 3 new councillors. But we still have 1 vacancy in the Goonhavern ward and 1 vacancy in Rose ward.

If you would like to represent your community and have time to attend monthly evening meetings, please let us know.

There are many exciting projects underway at the moment in our parish including the new skate park, taking on the library as a devolved service from Cornwall Council and the new civic building at 8 Boscawen Road. You could really make a difference by having input into the decision making at the Parish Council and be an important part of the team.

No previous experience is necessary. Please note this role is unpaid.

We will be co-opting to fill these vacancies at our next Full Council meeting on 3 June. Please come along and be prepared to say a few words about why you would like to stand for this role and why you feel you are a suitable candidate. If you could send a short summary to me in advance, this would be helpful. The councillors at the meeting will then vote to decide who will join the Parish Council.

For an informal talk please contact Tatiana Cant, Parish Clerk on 01872 572727 or email clerk@perranzabuloe-pc.gov.uk.
