The Parish Council is aware of the cutting of Droskyn Field and would like to thank the member of the public who brought this matter to its attention.
The Parish Clerk has spoken with those involved and is undertaking an initial investigation. A report will be presented to the Full Council at its meeting on Monday, where members will consider the report and discuss any further action that may be appropriate.
A suitably qualified professional has been contacted to assess any impact and a survey will be undertaken to establish whether any active nests or habitats may have been affected.
The Council will consider the findings of this assessment and any further action required once the information is available.
For future reference, if an urgent issue arises outside normal office hours, residents should contact their local parish councillor. Councillors are able to contact the Parish Clerk where necessary. This out-of-hours contact route is intended for genuine emergencies only.
The Parish Council takes matters relating to its land and the local environment seriously and will provide further updates following Monday’s meeting, or at such time as additional relevant information becomes available.
