Your Councillors

Alan is a councillor for Perranporth Ward. He is Chair of the Council and Chair of the Planning Committee. Alan is a co-ordinator of the Perranporth Emergency Plan and represents the Parish Council on the Police Liaison Group.

Jo is a councillor for the Perranporth Ward. She is a member of the Public Spaces and Services Committee and is Chair of the Staffing Committee. She is also the Climate Change Advocate for the Council.

Steve is a councillor for the Goonhavern Ward. He is also a member of the Planning, and Vice-Chair of the Finance and Operations Committee.

Christian moved to Bolingey in 2024, though Cornwall, especially this area, has been a major part of his life for over 20 years. Through running a local conservation-focused tree care business, as well as being active in the community socially, he has built strong connections with a wide range of people across the parish and surrounding areas. Christian has said that these experiences give him a grounded understanding of local concerns and community views. Christian wants to help ensure local people’s voices are properly heard and to strengthen the connection between the council and the community it represents.

Ben is a councillor for the Perranporth Ward. He is a member of the Public Spaces and Services Committee, and a member of the Finance and Operations Committee which he chairs.

Robert is a councillor for the Perranporth Ward. He is a member of the Finance and Operations Committee, Public Spaces and Services Committee, and the Vice-Chair of the Staffing Committee. His priorities are supporting the most vulnerable in the community, particularly disadvantaged children and young people, as well as protecting and restoring nature and reducing our environmental impact.

Peter is a councillor for the Perranporth Ward. He is a member of the Finance and Operations Committee, and the Public Spaces and Services Committee. He is co-ordinator of the Perranporth Emergency Plan.

Norman is a councillor for the Perranporth Ward. He is a member of the Planning Committee, Staffing Committee, Finance and Operations Committee, and Public Spaces and Services Committee.

Doreen is a councillor for the Perranporth Ward. She is a member of the Planning Committee, and Chairs the Public Spaces and Services Committee. Doreen represents the Parish Council on the Police Liaison Group, Surf Club, and at meetings of the Perranporth Tennis Club.

Robert is a councillor for the Perranporth Ward. He is a member of the Planning Committee, and the Finance and Operations Committee.

Jo has lived in Perranporth since 2009 and brings experience from both education and business, having worked as a teacher and currently owning and managing a local business. She has also served as a Governor and now Local Monitoring Committee member at Perranporth Primary School for the past four years. Passionate about the local community, Jo is keen to give something back through public service and is particularly interested in supporting projects for young people and grassroots community groups. She values listening to residents, representing a wide range of views fairly, and making informed, transparent decisions. Jo is committed to protecting local green spaces, promoting sustainability, and ensuring that community facilities remain accessible to all.

Sam is a councillor for the Perranporth Ward. He is also a member of the Planning Committee, and the Public Spaces and Services Committee.

Izzy has lived in Goonhavern for 5 years and played an active role in the community initially being part of the local scouts group and for the past 3 years being key part of the committee for Goonhavern village hall. Izzy is a councillor for the Goonhavern Ward. 

Joe is a councillor for the Goonhavern Ward. He is a member of the Planning Committee.

Ken is a councillor for the Goonhavern Ward. He sits on the Planning, and Finance and Operations Committee.
