Elections will be taking place on Thursday 6 May. Anyone aged over 18 years who lives or works in the parish can stand for one of the 15 seats on Perranzabuloe Parish Council. To put yourself forward, you need to complete a nomination form which can be downloaded from the Cornwall Council web site:

https://www.cornwall.gov.uk/council-and-democracy/elections/current-and-forthcoming-electionsreferendums/parish-and-town-council-elections-6-may-2021/

Here is the nomination form.

You then print the form and hand deliver it to Cornwall Council. If you have no access to the necessary IT, then I do have a few hard copies of the forms which I can provide.

There are now 2 wards in Perranzabuloe and you need to choose whether you wish to stand in Perranporth Ward or Goonhavern Ward.

The Parish Council encourages as many candidates as possible to come forward so that there is a contested democratic election and people have a choice of who they want to represent them on the Council.

If you have any questions, please contact me. I will be publishing more information in the next couple of weeks explaining more fully the role of being a parish councillor and what kind of commitment is involved.

There will be elections on the same day for Cornwall Council and for the Police Crime Commissioner.
