Please consider standing as a parish councillor to represent your community. We have a vacancy in the Perranporth Ward due to the sad loss of Councillor Viv Hill. The opportunity has now passed for residents to request an election and no such request has been made.

If you would like to represent your community and have time to attend monthly evening meetings, please let us know.

There are many exciting projects underway at the moment in our parish including the new skate park, the library which is now run by the Parish Council and the new civic building at 8 Boscawen Road. You could really make a difference by having input into the decision making at the Parish Council and be an important part of the team.

No previous experience is necessary and training will be provided. Please note this role is unpaid.

We will be co-opting to fill the vacancy at our next Full Council meeting on Monday 14 December. Please come along to our virtual meeting and be prepared to say a few words about why you would like to stand for this role and why you feel you are a suitable candidate. If you could send a short summary to me in advance, this would be helpful. The councillors at the meeting will then vote to decide who will join the Parish Council.

For an informal talk please contact Tatiana Cant, Parish Clerk on 01872 572727 or email clerk@perranzabuloe-pc.gov.uk.
