Perranporth Library is now officially relaunched after a fantastic celebration yesterday marking the transfer of the management of the library over from Cornwall Council to the local Parish Council. Residents were joined by local children’s author Ellie Jackson who did some readings for the little ones, MP Sarah Newton who expressed her support for the venture and cut the special ‘book cake’. Stevie Arthur, Chairman of the Parish Council also attended as well as several councillors. Thanks to everyone who came along, to the volunteers and staff who helped make the day a great success and to Cornwall Council who have helped us every step of the way. We are now open Saturday mornings and hope that everyone will love making good use of Perranporth Library.
