It is with great regret we announce the passing of one of our much loved councillors, Viv Hill. He suffered a heart attack on Thursday 7th May and died soon afterwards. Viv had been a member of the Parish Council for around 40 years and had been an enthusiastic force ensuring that the parish was kept clean and tidy particularly around Droskyn. He was the Chairman of the Services Committee. Viv was also active in many activities in the parish including the Rotary Club, Golf Club and as  a keen member of the Perranporth Improvements Committee which organises the Christmas lights. Colleagues are greatly saddened at the sudden loss and he will be much missed. He leaves his dear wife Margaret whom he wedded over 60 years ago. Viv will pass through the village on his final journey on Friday 22nd May when people will be able to stand on the pavement and show their respects.
