At the Parish Council meeting last night, councillors agreed to co-opt Jo Pentecost to fill the casual vacancy. There were 5 excellent candidates to choose from – which was not easy.
Jo has been a frequent visitor to Perranporth since her childhood and moved here almost 5 years ago. She is a member of the Perran Pacers and volunteered as a marshal for the past few years at the Perranporth Triathlon amongst many other community activities. She works from home for Kings College London as their Head of Digital Skills Development and brings excellent IT skills and much more to the parish council.
The council team is now at full strength and very busy on the many ongoing projects. We hope that the other candidates who put themselves forward for this vacancy – and other residents – will stand for the local elections in May 2021.
