Equality & Diversity Policy

Perranzabuloe Parish Council is committed to encouraging diversity and eliminating discrimination in both its role as an employer and as a provider of services. Perranzabuloe Parish Council aims to create a culture that respects and values each others’ differences, that promotes dignity, equality and diversity.

Financial Regulations

The Council is responsible in law for ensuring that its financial management is adequate and effective and that the Council has a sound system of financial control which facilitates the effective exercise of the Council’s functions.

Grant Awarding Policy

Perranzabuloe Parish Council is able to make monetary grants to organisations that work for the benefit of the local community within Perranzabuloe Parish.

Data Protection Policy

Perranzabuloe Parish Council needs to gather and use certain information about individuals. These can include customers, suppliers, business contacts, employees and other people the organisation has a relationship with or may need to contact.

Document Retention Policy

It is the policy of Perranzabuloe Parish Council to ensure that documents are retained for the time required by the law. Not all information is covered by the Data Protection Act 1998.

Health & Safety Policy

Perranzabuloe Parish Council recognises and accepts its responsibilities as an employer for providing a safe and healthy working environment for all its employees, contractors, voluntary helpers and others who may be affected by the activities of the Council.

Schedule Of Charges

The council needs to communicate with a wide range of individuals, businesses and organisations. Where the provision of information incurs a cost to the council (eg: copying, postage etc) the following schedule of costs shall be levied.

Vexatious Complaints Policy

Generally, dealing with a complaint is a straightforward process, but in a minority of cases, people pursue their complaints in a way which can either impede the investigation of their complaint or can have significant resource issues for the Council.

Standing Orders

Standing orders are the written rules of a local council. They are used to confirm a council’s internal organisational, administrative and procurement procedures and procedural matters for meetings.

Council Leasing Policy

The Parish Council has criteria for two different types of lease, for business and
community (not-for-profit) groups. This policy defines the differences between these groups and what conditions and criteria apply to both parties.

Memorial Bench Policy

That Perranzabuloe Parish Council implement a bench policy to standardise on recycled ‘plastic wood’ benches, with a 30 year guarantee, and ‘natural wood’ teak or oak benches with a 10 year guarantee to reduce ongoing maintenance and to facilitate a formal management regime.
