Goonhavern Park car park protected for visitors

The Goonhavern Trustees have taken steps to protect the car park next to the recreational area at Goonhavern Park to make sure that families can park safely. There has been no waiting restriction until now but this has resulted in the car park being used all day by many vehicles. Very often there are no spaces for genuine visitors to the park and parents have had to park on the road and help their children out into busy traffic. The Parish Clerk, Tatiana said, “We must make sure that families are safe when they come to enjoy the park. We are asking people who have been using the car park for long stays to understand how important this is and to make alternative parking arrangements.” Signs will be going up this week stating a maximum 3 hour stay.
