Arrangements for Remembrance Sunday: The Church and the Parish Council have been working together to ensure that we all have the opportunity to remember those who have fallen in conflict. Rules put in place for our safety mean that things have to take place in a different format this year. Current government guidance for Cornwall does allow for a very small act of Remembrance.  Social distancing rules, however, make it impractical to hold a service in the Church (The Church will, however, be open for private prayer and the lighting of candles). The Vicar and a very small representative group from the Parish will meet at the war memorial at 10.50am for a short service to include the laying of wreaths and to observe the 2 minute silence at 11am. The lay-by parking area will be coned-off to allow those wishing to lay a wreath to wait safely. We ask that if you are not laying a wreath, you do not come to the war memorial at this time. Along with many other communities, we are encouraging people to remain at home and to stand on their doorsteps at 11am to observe the 2 minute silence. This allows everyone to remain safe while being able to express collectively the sentiments of Remembrance that are so important.
