The Parish Council is applying for government ‘Levelling Up’ funding to build the new community space at the site of the old Lloyds Bank building in Boscawen Road. Plans have been revised to create a new simpler design on 2 storeys. There will be a shared space on the ground floor for the library, parish council offices and for community groups to meet. Above this will be work spaces and flexible meeting rooms which small local businesses and individuals can rent out. The funding bid must be submitted by the start of April. It would really help if we could include comments from local residents who are supportive of this application. It would be great for the council to secure this grant to provide a modern, smart facility in the centre of Perranporth without any further cost to local residents. Please drop into the library or council office to leave a brief comment.
