It has been a busy bank holiday weekend and we are saddened by the deaths and casualties at sea which have taken place in Cornwall. The Parish Council is liaising with the Surf Life Saving Club, RNLI and St Agnes Parish Council. Our current understanding is that the RNLI will be patrolling the beach at Perranporth from Saturday. The red flag will be flying until then so that people are aware that they should not go into the water. All public toilets are currently closed in order to safeguard the cleaning staff and to discourage lengthy visits, and the Parish Council car park is closed. The situation will be reviewed constantly and government advice followed at all times, and we will be making further announcements to provide residents with updates on any changes to opening arrangements of local facilities.
